In celebration of National Future Farmers of America Week, we have a rich family history of involvement in FFA. We have two generations of State FFA officers and American Farmer Degree recipients who proudly wore the blue and gold jacket. Eddie Wilson served on the Tennessee State Officer team as Sentinel in 1961 to 1962 and Ginger Wilson Buchanan served as on the Tennessee State Officer Team as East Tennessee Vice-President from in 1988-1989. Eddie and Ginger, along with Dale, all received the American Farmer Degree.

The FFA experience is unparalleled in the skills instilled of public speaking, leadership, parliamentary procedure and critical thinking.

From the beginning of the FFA Creed, I believe in the future of farming… and we continue to believe in the future of farming.

These beautiful snow pictures are the perfect reminder that the Farm a working production agriculture farm with beef cattle and crops. The gorgeous flowers are just an added bonus🌸. We are ready for these cold days to turn into spring days for planting.

National Milk Day - which commemorates the first home delivery of milk of milk in sealed glass bottles in 1878 - seems the perfect time to begin to share our farm heritage story of the Wilson Farm.

Noah Wilson purchased the original part of the farm in 1938. The farm operated as a dairy farm from that time until 2003. He organized the Chattanooga Area Milk Producers Association which was a milk cooperative which purchased, manufactured, and sold milk, cream and other dairy products of its dairy producer members.

Beautiful flowers headed for the last days for the flower stand at 423 Broad Street NW. the last day will be Wednesday October 15th. We are so appreciative of all who have supported this flower stand. We are trying our hand at some cool weather flowers over the winter that we hope to have available late spring🌸🌸

It is a beautiful day for flowers and blue skies at the Farm🌸 and a great way to wrap up fall break.

Bouquets in pumpkins are perfect for fall.

The flower season will be winding down over the next few weeks🌸🌸🌸. The last day to cut your own at the farm is tomorrow.

Here is what we will be offering over the next week:
Friday October 10th: last day of U Pick flowers at the farm from 1:00 to 5:00. Come join us for fall break activity.
Saturday October 11th: Dye Creek Fine Arts Festival at the Old Woolen Mill from 10:00 to 5:00. We will have bouquets and dried and pressed flower art.

We will only continue to be stock the flower stand at 423 Broad Street NW until at least October 15th. Self serve/honor system - $10 per bouquet Venmo only as the cash box was stolen from the stand this week.

Also, we take special orders for flowers as well for the next two weeks.

We are still scheduling photography sessions on the farm for fall and holidays but the flowers field pictures will end very soon. $30 per individual session.

Last week’s Bouquet Bar was so much fun! Thanks to those who attended and to The Press for providing food and beverages. This is definitely something we will plan for next season.

Fall sunflowers 🌻🌻!! We intentionally planted sunflowers later to have beautiful fall colors to add to cut flowers. These are spectacular and a perfect compliment to fall arrangements.

Pick up a bouquet with a sunflower at either flower stand:

$10 self serve honor system - Venmo or exact cash.

Saturday September 27 we will be at Grit & Grace Market fall market from 10 to 4 with flowers.

Sunday September 28 - cut your own at the Farm.

Cut your own for $1.00 per stem at the Farm.

Private photos sessions in the patch and around the farm for $30.

We do accept orders for special occasions or special events.
