Events like this are bigger than what happens on stage. They’re about networking, building relationships, learning from one another and keeping up with an ever evolving industry. It’s about coming together, sharing energy and celebrating the craft we all love.
Yes, trophies and cash prizes are a plus but it’s never just about that. It goes far beyond a battle. It’s about community, growth and leaving inspired every time.
Winning a battle goes far beyond just a great haircut.
There’s a reason we have an MC on the mic emphasizing sanitation. There’s a reason judges are walking the stage, watching every move. This isn’t just about the final look, it’s the entire process.
You can have the hottest cut on stage, you can have the hottest costume, flawless blends and sharp line. But if your sanitation doesn’t align, it can absolutely affect your results.
In this industry, professionalism, cleanliness and discipline matter just as much as talent. The details behind the chair speak just as loud as the finished product. The same professionalism you carry in the shop must be carried on that STAGE! Simple as that!
Also, please keep in mind once your prize is given to you and you walk off that stage, we are no longer responsible for what’s left on that stage. I even doubled down to make sure I’m making a correct a statement by calling my dear friend , the king of expos! Where he indeed, agreed.
There are bigger things to worry about in life, which is exactly why moments like these matter. A chance to step away, connect and remind ourselves what a community really looks like.
