Chawla Pointe Announces New Restaurant Operator for the West End District
CLEVELAND, MS — Chawla Pointe, LLC Chief Operating Officer Naaz Bruno recently presented the keys to Monica Hays-Payne, owner of Payne Table, LLC, who will assume operational control of the former 8W Grille restaurant under a modified name that is yet to be finalized.
Ms. Hays-Payne will oversee operations of the new restaurant and manage the food and beverage program for the entire West End District.
Her property-wide plans include adding a light bakery offering cupcakes, cheesecakes, and specialty cakes; hosting indoor and outdoor special events; launching a regional catering service; and creating specialty dining and celebratory events throughout the district.
Property owner Dinesh Chawla commented, “Monica is the fulfillment of the property’s original pledge to be an intersection of entrepreneurship and creativity. She’s a dynamo.”
The restaurant will initially reopen with breakfast service, with plans to expand to three meals a day as operations grow.
The targeted opening date is the last week of March 2026.
