Avenue Q at Cain Park

Avenue Q at Cain Park AVENUE Q runs June 14-July 1, 2012 in the Alma Theater at Cain Park. Evening performances begin at 7pm and matinee performances begin at 2pm. Sundays 2:00pm.

June 14-July 1 in the Alma Theater. Thursdays-Saturdays 7:00pm. Cain Park is owned and operated by the City of Cleveland Heights. This performance is supported by WKSU 89.7 FM. Music & Lyrics by Robert Lopez & Jeff Marx
Book by Jeff Whitty

Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, AVENUE Q has been described as "Sesame Street" with adult themes, humor and song.

Humans and puppets interact in this tale of twenty-somethings learning how to live and love in New York City. It's a coming-of-age parable that addresses and satirizes the issues and anxieties associated with entering adulthood and features such songs as "What Do You Do With A B.A. In English?," "It Sucks To Be Me," and "My Girlfriend, Who Lives In Canada." Please note: AVENUE Q is great for teenagers because it's about real life. It may not be appropriate for young children. Parents are strongly advised to use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children. Children under 13 will not be admitted without an adult. Congratulations to Avenue Q director, the multi-tasking Russ Borski for the recognition!

It is absolutely ridiculous to give awards for the "best" creative endeavors, such as theater. Frankly, it is impossible to compare different productions and performances, since they are all so variegated in their scope, intent and ex*****on.

And the tix are going, going, gone...

Pulling the strings of this glorious, joyous, must-see Cain Park production of the wickedly funny "Avenue Q,' is Russ Borski, who delivers a winning hat trick as director, set and puppet designer.
