Clayton High School Graduation is this evening (Thursday, May 28th) at 6pm! 🎓 To help reduce anticipated congestion due to limited parking at Clayton High School caused by ongoing construction on the property, Town Hall & The Clayton Center will close early at 3:30 PM today. This will allow graduates and their families to fully utilize spaces in the Town Hall parking lot. Please plan ahead if you need to visit Town Hall today. Thank you for your understanding as we support Clayton High’s Class of 2026!

Who are the Sideguys? Think elite-level musicians with serious range—artists who can jump from local cover bands to world tours backing legendary performers. They’re the pros behind the pros, who have toured with some the music industry’s biggest headliners. These former collaborators of David Sanborn have shared his stage, studio, and tours—and now they’re reuniting to celebrate the unmistakable sound of one of contemporary music’s most influential voices.

This is more than a tribute. It’s the music, performed by the very musicians who helped create it.

We’re gearing up for dance recital season 2026. The Clayton Center will be full of energy, creativity, and community spirit over the next six weeks as dancers from across the area come together to celebrate months of hard work, passion, and growth. They’ll turn the stage into a place where the whole community can connect and cheer each other on.

Saturday, May 9: Clayton School of Dance
Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30: Carolina Dance Productions
Saturday, June 6: 3D Dance Studio
Sunday, June 14: Millpond Dance Studio

These recitals highlight the hard work of the dancers and reinforce The Clayton Center’s role as a cultural hub where local talent can shine and audiences can gather to support the arts.

This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Stan Hole — a dedicated Scene Stealer of 10 years. Stan joined the Scene Stealers in the fall of 2015 after moving into his new home in Clayton. Wanting to meet his new neighbors (and encouraged by the fact that his daughter was already a Scene Stealer!), he jumped right in — and we’re so glad he did.

What does Stan enjoy most about being a Scene Stealer? Working alongside fellow volunteers, interacting with patrons, and of course, enjoying the many fun and entertaining shows and events at The Clayton Center. He especially treasures the plays performed by local high school students and the many wonderful Christmas shows over the years.

When he’s not volunteering, you’ll likely find Stan on a local golf course, staying active with daily walks and exercise, keeping up with home and lawn care, or enjoying bowling, darts, and pool with a neighbor each week. Stan often tells others that if they want to have fun and get to know truly nice people, they should join the volunteer team and work with The Clayton Center staff. We couldn’t agree more!
