Tennessee if you did not vote during early voting, you must vote tomorrow. Can we count on you?

America, especially people of color, it's time to get in the fight to protect your voting rights. The U. S. Supreme Court, today, has returned our ability to elect candidates of our choice to the 1800s. No more sitting on the sidelines. You need to step up and make your voices be heard across this nation.

The Clarksville Branch of the NAACP is inviting residents to fellowship on Thursday, Jan. 1, at 10 a.m. as we celebrate our 2026 Jubilee Day Service. The service is presented annually to remind us of the plight and accomplishments of our fore-parents that culminated in the access we have to society today.

It was on Jan. 1, 1863, that the slaves of the state of Tennessee were set free. Yet, it wasn’t until Aug. 8, 1863, that they received the official declaration from their masters.

Because freedom is so vital to the fabric of a democracy, the NAACP has adopted the annual Jubilee Day celebration as our choice to keep the well-fought battles of our fore-parents in focus.

Thank you Dr. Michael J. Moss, Pastor of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church - Clarksville, TN for your support.

If members of the Homeland Security immigration team are just doing their job, why do they wear masks when making arrests?

I applaud the way the justice system is calling out the unjust manner the current administration is trying to dismantle this nation work force. I am also concerned that we have TN GOP legislators who are working to mimic the administration's tactics when it come to local government. Education is the right of every person who resides in this nation. No true Christian legislator would openly back legislation that hurts their own. I am sure the TN GOP representatives who voted for this bill are denying members of their church and other organization children from participation in our education system.
