As we end this year, 2025, we wish to update you on our successes and
failures. We had a large, unexpected expense during 2025 and it wiped out most of our funds. Fortunately, people stepped up and helped us out of this hole.

We had two spring and two fall hot dog sales and a fall apple fundraiser. We would like to thank all of you who made these events successful. Those who worked these events, please know that we could not have done these without you. Many strangers and neighbors helped with supplies and monetary donations. We also rent our center for birthdays, gender reveal parties,
receptions, weddings, and misc other events. The Sardis Senior Satellite members helps us on a continuing basis along with the Sardis Baptist Church. Thank all of you very much.

We also wish to thank the Harrison County Commissioners, Susan
Thomas, David Hinkle, and Patsy Trecost Il, who gave us money towards a roof replacement. Thanks to the contractor, Shannon Moore, who also gave us a discount. Between these two parties, our community center got our roof replaced.

We want to thank everyone who has supported us in replacing our community center's roof. We truly appreciate the support!

In the process of reaching out to the community, we wound up receiving offers for lower estimates. This is a blessing, and we accepted the lowest offer at a council meeting.

We have created a PayPal Giving Fund to donate directly to our organization. We also received donations via the PayPal Giving Fund.

While we can cover the roof with what money we have, the general fund has still dropped significantly. We want to be as transparent as possible and let everyone know how funds are being used.

The Sardis Community Center is now enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund! We want to provide everyone who appreciates what we do to contribute to our community center at their convenience. This service comes at a time when we find ourselves in a time of unusual need.

Sadly, the roofing of our community center is coming to the end of it's life. The center's President, Sue Hurst, has asked the Harrison County Commission for aid. The Harrison County Commission has been gracious enough to grant us $10,000 to help in the cost of replacing the roof. The grant will go a long way toward completing the work. Many thanks!

Unfortunately, help from the Harrison County Commission is not enough on it's own. It will take $14,000 to complete the work. Even then, our savings will be depleted in the process. We are relying on our supporters to help us come up with the remainder of the total.

Please, if you can, consider donating to the Sardis Community Center. Keep in mind that we will be using the link below for any fundraising in the future. Once we complete our goal, further proceeds may go toward other purposes. Thanks!

Thank You Volunteers!

The Sardis Community Council would like to thank all of our volunteers who work hard and often in our center and without pay. We also thank those volunteers and local residents who donate many needed items to the center and to other fund-raisers throughout the year.
We have just finished another year of hot dog sales and our annual fall apple fund-raiser to help our center with operating expenses. We continue to rent our building's great room and kitchen to those who enjoy birthday parties, receptions, gender reveal parties, and other misc. events, some of which are free of charge We also are a voting place with two precincts.
Once again, thank all of you who continue to make our center a success. See you next spring!
