Ben Berry is our leader!

He’s the one that came up with this whole thing in the first place, and thank goodness he did, because our festival has grown into the perfect platform for Appalachian voices to be heard and films to be seen.

He’s also the king of “if you’re not networking, you’re not working.” He’s always making connections in the halls and on the stage during the festival, as well as before the festival, aka the reason we have the exciting line-up we do this year.

Come soak up every second this weekend. We can’t wait to see you there. (Reminder: it’s free!)

Taylor Napier is all about the details!

All the little things that go into Mtn Craft Film Festival make a huge difference. Taylor makes sure we keep track of all the tiny pieces that make the fest come together in a big way.

She makes sure the posters are printed, the budgets are on track, bts is captured, and the crew has somewhere to lay their heads at night (among approximately a million other things).

We are happy to see Mtn Craft Film Festival featured in this article honoring Danny Boyd's legacy. Our festival director, Ben Berry, provided his perspective on the importance of looking back at the history of filmmaking in West Virginia, and the icons who helped shape it into what it is today.

Danny Boyd is the subject of our 2026 Heritage Screening, made possible by the WV Humanities Council. On October 4, beginning at 12pm, the Mtn Craft Film Festival will host a Q&A with some of Boyd's colleagues, provide a behind-the-scenes look into Boyd's body of work, and screen his feature film, "Paradise Park."
