For those following the transition: WCCMA knows people have been following this issue with some concern - it has certainly been a stressful and frustrating time - and a disappointing situation to be in. However the article is correct - all our paperwork and requirements to begin receiving our money from the government have been approved in the recent weeks - well over $100k from the last 2 years of operations coming in soon. The process was significantly slowed down by 2 government shut downs, the past suspension of the CDA by the City, paperwork that was delayed at the local level, and significant inefficiencies in understanding and communication through these last several months. It has been a difficult time for all the parties involved - and it is our hope that moving forward the focus can moved from placing blame on WCCMA for things only the government had control over, to celebrating this moment and the incredible opportunities and creativity that we’ll be providing to the community for a very long time to come.
