ARTSAROUND TOWN SHOPPING EVENT FEATURES LOCAL ARTISTS & DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES

Local Artists Shopping Event to benefit ArtsaRound begins Saturday, Nov. 18 and runs thru Dec. 16th, 2017 and is set in Circleville’s Historic Downtown.

Circleville, Ohio — Oct.27, 2017 Circleville’s ArtsaRound Town Event, a returning Holiday Arts tradition for central Ohio, is promoting the arts, local artists and Circleville's downtown in this four week Holiday event. Over 25 businesses and some 30 artists come together to bring Holiday Shoppers a unique selection of art in one of Ohio’s favorite historic downtowns.
One of the returning features this year includes the Opening Night Gala Friday November 17th from 6 to 8pm at The Dream House, 109 East Mound Street, Circleville, Ohio. This “meet the artists” event is open to the public at $5.00 per person and starts at 6pm. The evening includes light eats, live entertainment, and a glass of wine and Silent Auction items. No reservations are required. Also Saturday, November 18th and again December 2nd , ArtsaRound members will give free guided tours of all open artist locations. These special Saturday morning art tours will start at 10am at the South West corner of Main St. and Court St. in front of the Peck Block Building.
“This just felt like a great way to bring together hundreds of visitors and shopping guests and benefit area artists as well as our local businesses and Circleville’s ArtsaRound organization,” states Dorothy Cooper, ArtsaRound Town Event Chair. “This event is sponsored by the Circleville Downtown Business Association, Roundtown Conservancy and Rosena’s Treasures”. ArtsaRound formed in 2001, is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting art and artists in Pickaway County and the regional area. Proceeds to benefit the proposed Pickaway Arts & Life (PAL) Center operating funds.
Artists were selected from throughout Pickaway County, Ohio and Circleville to exhibit their work before an eclectic group of collectors and visitors. This special seasonal event will be held November 18th thru December 16th, 2017, at several downtown businesses, restaurants and non-retail locations, in and around Downtown Circleville, just south of Columbus, Ohio, off State Route 23.
The 14 Artistic Categories are: 2-D and 3-D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber, Functional Art, Glass, Printmaking, Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Watercolor, and Woodwork. Artists must submit original artwork for display and sale. “We already have additional businesses and several new artists signing on for this year’s event and we are pleased to be a part of the PAL Center for learning, wellness, recreation, community, history and more,” says J.P. Pennell, ArtsaRound President.
