Music Live at Lunch: Christ Church Cathedral

Free, noontime music performances of 30-40 minutes by a variety of performers. New to Live at Lunch? Well here's what it's all about about.

Every Tuesday, September through May, we host a free, noontime performance held in either our chapel or sanctuary. Each week offers something different: From Jazz to Classical, Indian to Native American, hopefully we'll have something that strikes your fancy. However, if you don't see anything that sparks an interest, let us know what would, and we'll see what we can do. Our address is 318 E. 4th St., downtown Cincinnati (right across the street from the Great American Insurance building). Feel free to bring a lunch, or purchase one ($7) at the venue.

Hi friends,

WELCOME BACK! Live at Lunch starts this Tuesday, and we are SO excited about all of the musical offerings we have to share with you this year! You can find a detailed list of all the acts here: https://cincinnaticathedral.com/music-live-at-lunch/

Also, I should tell you that this is Music Live at Lunch's 55th season. To celebrate this milestone, all monies collected at the end of each concert will be donated to a local non-profit in town. September's non-profit is the Peaslee Neighborhood Center. More information about the work they are doing can be found on their website: http://peasleecenter.org

SO, come on down this Tuesday (and as many Tuesdays over the season as you can manage!) to partake in some great food, fellowship, music, and community outreach. It's going to be a great year, and it would be even better if you were a part of it.

Music Live, THANK YOU for a fantastic season of concerts. It has been such a blast to see your faces week in and week out as we hear local groups play music in all sorts of styles. Join us today for our final (!!) concert of the 25-26 season, featuring the Clarinet, Piano, and Violin musings of the OLEA ensemble. A great note (pun fully intended) on which to end our season.

We will pick up the next season (our 55th, if I have done my math correctly) on September 8th.

A bit of American History for you, Music Live: On this day in 1777, confectioner Philip Lenzi placed the first ever advertisement for ice cream in this country. The ad ran in the New York Gazette (pictured below). What better way to celebrate this fact than to listen to some tunes from the Great American Songbook?
