This triathlon will be LIMITED to only 1,200 athletes so early registration is encouraged. THIS TRIATHLON IS DESIGNED FOR A WHOLE DAY OF FUN FOR RACERS, FRIENDS, AND FAMILIES! All the courses have been designed to make this event super athlete and spectator-friendly. All race distances (International, Sprint, and Kids) events will start at Bayside Park in Chula Vista. The park will host the Swim Start, and the Transition Area. The beach party finish line will feature a beer garden and Mexican food. The CVC San Diego Triathlon is part of the San Diego Triathlon Series - Points Competition. The 2026 XTERRA WETSUITS Mission Bay Triathlon is proud to host the USA Triathlon California State Championships for Age Group, High School, and Club competitors.
For the Sprint and International Triathlons, the top 35% of finishers—or the top five athletes, whichever is greater—qualify for the corresponding USA Triathlon National Championships.

Race-day brain has enough to remember. Let’s get your course sorted now. 🏊🚴🏃

The San Diego Triathlon Classic is THIS SATURDAY, September 12, at Liberty Station!

Swipe through your race course guide for swim routes, transition paths, bike and run laps, plus aquathlon and duathlon maps.

A few details to lock in before you line up:

📍 The swim starts at Spanish Landing West, with a 0.6-mile run back to bike transition afterward. Plan for that stretch when setting up your gear!

🚴 Sprint bike: 1 lap. Olympic bike: 2 laps.
🏃 Sprint run: 1 lap. Olympic run: 2 laps.

👟 Bring running shoes to swim transition for the trip back to your bike, and make sure your swim bag is clearly labeled with your bib number.

Whether you’re figuring this out for the first time or coming back chasing a PR, knowing your route is one less thing to think about at the start line.

Your alarm needs to be set for SATURDAY! ⏰ San Diego Triathlon Classic race day is September 12.

Here’s your plan for packet pickup and race morning:
📍 NTC Park, Liberty Station
601 Farragut Road, San Diego, CA 92106

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
• Packet pickup + expo: 12–6 PM
• Course talks: 12:30 PM or 5 PM

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
• Packet pickup: 5–6 AM ($10 late charge)
• Transition opens: 5 AM
• Transition closes: 6:30 AM

Sprint athletes: plan your setup before transition closes, even though your race starts later.

RACE STARTS
🏊 Olympic: 6:15 AM
🚴 Sprint+Duathlon: 7:15 AM
🏃 5K: 7:35 AM — meet near registration
