As the weekend finally came to an end, and our 2nd Annual Taco Fest is over, we want to send our gratitude to not only the community of San Angelo, but Christoval and surrounding! We had an amazing turnout of people that came from EVERYWHERE which is so awesome!!
First, we have to give our praise to the good lord, God is with us always, and we send praise to Him!! Lord thank you for all your blessings!!
Special thanks to all those who helped us make this event happen from the owners of Ranch 277, Trinidad and Marie, who were by our side the whole time making things run smooth during setup AND cleanup & to all the people who volunteered to lend us cash registers, generators, hands, and help!! We could NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU!
Our Sponsors, we can't say it enough, how grateful we are that you believe in us, and how you all worked at making this event fun for your community, we pray blessings to your businesses and families!!
These events are without a doubt huge risks, LOTS of hard labor and work, lots of planning, and ex*****on in every way. We hope everyone that came out enjoyed the party and entertainment.
Thank you to our bands, stage and sound... the show was AMAZING. The Josh Abbott Band killed it, Texas Double Shot, Judson Cole, and Evoluzion all kicked ass! We even got to enjoy the show with our baby for a minute which was surreal, Rosita really loved being able to go on stage. JR Productions who held it down for sound, and didn't stress us with anything, and without question made sure the show went down without any issues.
Our volunteers from Goodfellow, our Bar Staff, Beer ticket staff and Gate staff were amazing despite us running around like crazy at the beginning trying to get everything up and running in time. We felt so comfortable and had all the trust in yall to run your posts, and it was a relief that we had no major issues in that area!
Now to address really the only issue we had thru the whole fest, and that was the parking. We want to make it as clear as possible, WE HAD ZERO knowledge of the charging for general admission parking spaces until around 6 or so in the afternoon when the sheriff's and some guests approached us with what was going on. As I type this it STILL upsets us, because we are 1000% separate from this company that offered to HELP US, and completely misled us.
To be clear, neither Reynas Tacos or Ranch 277 took part in profiting from the parking.
Truthfully, we had no knowledge of what was being charged outside the gate. We were led to believe that only people who wanted to be Valet parked would be charged and the majority of the lot would be left to FREE PARKING. As soon as we were notified about what was going on, we intervened with the help of the county sheriff's and put a stop to it. With that said, obviously, at next year's event, there will be NO parking companies on site.
As always, we strive to give yall an experience that is family friendly and fun. We hope next year you will visit again, and we will be working on an even bigger vision for Taco Fest 2023. So stay tuned, and look up Reynas Tacos for information on our 4th Annual Dia De Los Mu***os Block Party, as that event is only weeks away and is completely FREE to the public.
Enjoy your week, stay safe and we will see yall next year!!
Sincerely with all the Thanks and Gratitude,
La Familia Reyna
