It was a beautiful couple of days dodging the dung, yesterday and today!🐮

Congratulations to all of the athletes and a heartfelt “thank you" to all of the dedicated fans, coaches, families, friends and volunteers who came out to support all of the runners.

Thank you, also, to the Wiseman family for letting us use your cow pasture, and to the runners and walkers who participated in our race for the public! We always host that at 8am on Saturday - before the high school Cow Chip Classic races start.

See you all next year.

Hi, everyone! The team at Chrisman High School is collecting unwanted athletic shoes, ongoing, to help support the running programs.

Shoes are evaluated for useful life. If they are wearable, and of decent value, they are sold (and the XC/track teams get a small kickback, if any are sold). If they are wearable, and not of decent value, they are donated to the needy. If they are not wearable, and at the end of useful life, they are RECYCLED!!!! What a great program to support!

Nearly all athletic shoes are accepted - including rubber (not metal) cleated shoes that are used for football, soccer, softball, baseball, etc.

Unfortunately, they DO NOT ACCEPT FLIP FLOPS of any kind (even those made of foam and cloth/material).

If your team or your child is running a cross country meet in Chrisman the rest of this season, playing/cheering in a game this winter or spring - or even driving through town - please drop off your shoes at the office located inside the North entrance of the junior high (the one-story section of the building, if you're not familiar with the layout). This is an ongoing, YEAR-ROUND project!

It was a beautiful day for the junior high race on Friday. Unfortunately, on Saturday, it was a ridiculously wet and rainy day, for the public 3-mile run and the high school race, but the runners kept right on mooooooving and gave it their all! 🐮

That's what cross country running is all about - come rain, shine, snow or sleet, you still get out there and run! Congratulations to all of the athletes and a hearty "thank you" goes out to all of the dedicated fans, coaches, families and friends who came out and stood in the rain to support all of the runners.

Thank you, also, to the Wiseman family for letting us use your cow pasture! See you all next year!

We are excited to see all of the runners today, at 4pm, for the junior high Cow Chip Classic Cross Country Invitational and tomorrow for the 3-mile walk/run for the public, at 8am, followed by the high school Cow Chip Classic Cross Country Invitational at 9am.

Don’t forget to bring your unwanted athletic shoes!

We are excited to welcome the public back to the 3-mile run/walk at the 40th running of the Chrisman Cow Chip Classic Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 4th at 8am. Register onsite or ahead of time, online, on Active.com.

NEW this year! Bring all of your unwanted athletic shoes and drop them off at the big garage door at the NW corner of the school. We are partnering with GotSneakers? to do a shoe drive fundraiser AND keep shoes out of the landfills! Help the environment and the high school track and cross country teams, at the same time!
