Emily and her family moved down to Vaughn, Montana at the age of twelve. Emily started loving art at the age of four and has loved art ever since. Now fourteen, she has won many awards. Emily has won first place with The Horizon Credit union for people's choice for three years straight in conjunction with being juried into the top 25. She also won fourth place one year and first place last year in The Young Masters in conjunction with the Out West Art Show. She is also in the top awards this year. She also won ribbons for first place at the state fair. Emily also won second place at Montana state fair for the eighth grade scholarship. Emily has sold a couple of art pieces at the Power Schools art show and many prints. When Emily first started art it was more child-like, but as she advanced color and detail became a focus in her western art. Emily always loves to draw and paint horses, wildlife, and landscapes, which reflects her family’s way of life. Adding highlights and darks in her undertones has made her art come alive. Emily's favorite media are acrylic, oil, and pastel, although she has experimented with engraving on clay board, drawing, and silk painting. Emily is moving forward to start her own art business like her art teacher who inspired her, Dawn L. Sievers. Emily also hopes to inspire other people with her art.
