Today, we honor the histories, cultures, traditions, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples. Here in Ross County, the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks remind us of the remarkable achievements and rich cultural heritage of the Indigenous people who shaped this land long before Ohio became a state.
Let today be an opportunity to listen, learn, and deepen our understanding of Indigenous histories and living cultures. We encourage everyone to explore these stories with respect and help preserve this important heritage for future generations.
