The Ross County Fair Autocross is Friday August, 14th. Rules are listed below.
2026 Ross County Autocross Rules
Pre-registration is $45. ALL DRIVERS MUST SIGN WAIVER BEFORE INSPECTION. All vehicles must be on the fairgrounds by 5PM
Autocross will be divided into the following classes.
1) Front wheel drive
2) Rear wheel drive (NO factory 4x4/AWD allowed)
3) 4x4/AWD
4) Powder puff. (Front Wheel Drive Only)
No 4x4/AWD/Vans/SUVs or Trucks allowed in the Powder Puff class.
Rear wheel drive class must be factory rear wheel drive vehicle. You’re allowed factory stock V8 motors. No motor swaps of any kind will be allowed in this class. Small pickup trucks and ½ ton trucks/vans are allowed. No removing driveshafts to enter different classes.
NO AWD,or ¾ ton or larger vehicles allowed in the rear wheel drive class.
1. Read all rules carefully and follow them! Any questions call/text Brian at 740-701-2511 or Nate 740-701-3447. No stretching or bending of any rules.
2. You must pass inspection within 2 times through, or you will not be permitted to run.
3. ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE ROOF SIGN AT LEAST 18x24 AND NUMBER ON BOTH SIDES OF VEHICLE. IF SCORING CANNOT CLEARLY SEE YOUR NUMBER FROM THE ANNOUNCERS STAND YOU WILL NOT BE SCORED.
4. Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in the rules. Cars must have functioning brakes at all times. Judges have the final decision.
5. A helmet, seat belt, shoes and eye protection must be worn at all times on the track.
6. If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t do it.
7. All airbags and glass must be removed from your vehicle. We recommend that all interior is removed from your vehicle but not required.
8. Only one driver per vehicle.
9. Shocks must be in stock location
10. Suspension lifts allowed.
11. After market header and exhaust are allowed.
12. Must have a seatbelt or racing harness.
13. Roll bars, fire extinguishers, neck braces or any other safety devices is strongly suggested. You cannot strengthen the frame of the car!
14. Advertising on vehicle is allowed, no obscene decals or writing.
15. All participants must attend mandatory drivers meeting.
16. Absolutely no alcohol or illegal drug use. Promoter reserves full rights to disqualify or refuse entry for any reason deemed necessary.
17. If any vehicle has been rolled over before, it must have a full roll cage due to structure being compromised.
18. Anything with a removable top must have a roll bar and metal over the top.
19. Aftermarket gas tanks are allowed. No boat tanks.
20. All windows, except front windshield must be removed.
21. All vehicles must be cleaned out and all loose items properly secured.
22. Batteries may be mounted in vehicle; they must be securely strapped down.
23. Only DOT approved tires. Tires can be doubled and tubed. No rim protectors.
24. Stock frame on all vehicles. You will be allowed to weld 4 fixit plates to repair rust or bent frames. Plates can be 4x4 and ¼ inch thick max.
25. No nitrous oxide, aftermarket superchargers or turbos allowed (Factory turbo and superchargers are allowed)
26. Radiator must be in stock location
27. Aftermarket bumpers are allowed but must be within factory size. No pointy bumpers allowed. Radiator protectors are allowed but can’t be higher than the hood and no wider than the stock radiator. Don’t go extreme.
28. Skids plates are allowed. Don’t go extreme on bumpers and skid plates or you’ll cut or load up.
29. Driver’s door can be reinforced for driver safety.
30. Windshield bars are allowed, and screens can be used in front of windows.
31. Doors and trunks may be wired no more than 8 places per door. You may use 3 strands of 9 wire per hole. You may weld doors 5 on 5 off.
32. Hoods may be wired or bolted in 4 spots. Hoods must have a 12x12 hole if bolted or wired.
NO head on collisions or Drivers Door hits allowed!
