As we start another busy week of festivals, markets, and community events, we wanted to share a quick tip for small businesses, food vendors, artisans, and entrepreneurs:

Not every event is the right event for your business.

When evaluating opportunities, look beyond attendance numbers and ask yourself:

✔️ Does this event attract my target customer?
✔️ Is the audience likely to purchase my product or service?
✔️ Does the event's brand align with my brand?
✔️ Will the cost of participation provide a realistic return on investment?
✔️ Does the organizer have a track record of producing quality experiences?

Sometimes a smaller, well-targeted event can generate far better results than a larger event where your ideal customer isn't present.

The most successful vendors we work with don't attend every event—they attend the right events.

Whether you're a seasoned business owner or just getting started, being strategic with your event schedule can make a tremendous difference in your growth.

We wanted to take a moment to share an update on some of the exciting things happening behind the scenes at Hearthara Culinary.

Over the last year, we've experienced tremendous growth, and while much of our work happens long before an event ever reaches the public, we've been hard at work building the infrastructure necessary to support that growth and prepare for what comes next.

As our portfolio continues to expand—including events such as the Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival and the Chattanooga Crawfish & Seafood Festival—we've been focused on strengthening our operations, refining our processes, and investing in the resources needed to better serve our clients, vendors, sponsors, and community partners.

We're also excited to share that our team is growing. Over the coming months, we'll be introducing several new team members as they complete training and step into their roles. Their addition will allow us to provide even more support, stronger communication, and an even better experience for the businesses and organizations we work with.

Perhaps most exciting, Hearthara Culinary is actively repositioning itself to re-enter the national events market. While we're not quite ready to share all of the details, we can say with confidence that there are some incredible opportunities on the horizon.

Our goal has always been bigger than producing events. We believe in creating opportunities for small businesses, building meaningful partnerships, supporting local economies, and designing experiences that bring communities together.

The future is bright, and we're incredibly excited about what 2027 has in store. To our clients, vendors, sponsors, partners, and supporters: thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to bringing more opportunities, more growth, and bigger and better events to the Southeast and beyond.
