🌟 Chi-Town Exotics Animal Ambassador of the Week! 🌟
Say hello to Mary, our stunning Asian Forest Scorpion! 🦂✨

Mary may look fierce, but she’s one of the most fascinating invertebrates in our care. Asian forest scorpions are known for their glossy black armor, impressive pincers, and calm, slow-moving personalities. They thrive in warm, humid forests—making Mary right at home in her cozy habitat here at Chi-Town Exotics.

🔍 Fun Facts About Mary & Her Species:
• 🦂 They glow under UV light! Mary lights up a beautiful blue-green color under a blacklight due to compounds in her exoskeleton. When they molt, the old layer of exoskeleton will still glow!
• 🌧️ Rainforest natives: Asian forest scorpions are found in the warm tropical forests of Southeast Asia.
• 👶 Hands-on mommas: Females carry their babies on their backs until they’re ready to explore on their own!
• 🕵️ More bark than sting: They rely on their powerful pincers more than their stingers for defense.
• 🌙 Night owls: Just like Mary, they’re most active after dark.

Say hello to Oreo, our stunning male Desert California Kingsnake! With his bold black-and-white pattern and curious personality, he’s one of the most eye-catching residents in our collection.

🌟 Why We Love Oreo:
• He’s incredibly gentle and always curious about his surroundings. It was hard to get a picture of him not moving!
• His striking “cookies-and-cream” pattern is what earned him the name Oreo!
• As a kingsnake, he’s known for being hardy, active, and always ready to explore.

🐍 Fun Facts About California Kingsnakes:
• They’re called kingsnakes because they’re known to eat other snakes — even venomous ones!
• Their natural home ranges from deserts to forests, making them amazingly adaptable.
• Kingsnakes are famous escape artists thanks to their strong, flexible bodies.
• They’re one of the most popular pet snakes due to their calm temperament and manageable size.

Meet Tie Dye, our vibrant and talkative Blue and Gold Macaw, and this week’s Animal Ambassador of the Week here at Chi-Town Exotics! 🦜

With dazzling blue and golden feathers and a personality as bold as their colors, Tie Dye never fails to make an impression. These incredible parrots are not only beautiful but also highly intelligent and social creatures.

🦜 They can live over 80 years with proper care — that’s a lifetime of friendship!
💬 Macaws have remarkable voices and can mimic words, laughter, and even sounds from their surroundings.

🐍💛 Animal Ambassador of the Week: Candy, our Candino Ball Python! 💛🐍

This week at Chi-Town Exotics, we’re shining the spotlight on our stunning female Candino Ball Python! With her beautiful blend of creamy yellows and soft purples, she’s a perfect example of how unique and amazing these snakes can be.

💡 Fun Facts:
🌍 Ball pythons are native to the warm grasslands of West and Central Africa.
🌀 They get their name because they curl into a tight “ball” when feeling shy or threatened.
🎨 The Candino morph is a special genetic combo that gives her that gorgeous pastel glow — a mix of Albino and Candy traits!
🍽️ Ball pythons are ambush hunters, waiting patiently for prey like rodents to pass by before striking.
💤 These snakes are known for being calm and gentle — which makes them one of the most popular pet reptiles in the world!

Meet Glow, our stunning Lipstick Sun Glow Red-Tail Boa! 🐍✨
With her radiant colors and calm, curious nature, she truly lives up to her name — she glows wherever she goes!

Glow loves exploring her enclosure, showing off her beautiful scales, and reminding everyone that snakes can be both elegant and gentle. 💖

Cheeto just had to drop by during our animal ambassador of the week post and steal someone’s thunder! Today we welcome 6 beautiful healthy Kenyan sand boas! It’s looking like the genetics hit a little different than her last clutch! Snowball keeps producing snows and we could not be happier with him! Cheeto will be under close observation the next few days to make sure no more babies are hiding out with her.

🌟 Animal Ambassador of the Week: Hank the Blue-Tongue Skink! 🌟

Meet Hank, our featured animal ambassador! Blue-tongue skinks are native to Australia and known for their striking blue tongues, which they use to startle predators and communicate.

Hank might look like a little dragon, but he’s all chill vibes and curious sniffs. His favorite things? Lounging under his heat lamp, exploring new hides, and showing off that awesome blue tongue! 👅

Hank helps us teach others about reptile adaptations, calm behavior, and the importance of understanding and respecting wildlife. Be sure to see him at one of our future events to learn more about these fascinating reptiles and their unique role in the ecosystem.

Hank has been one of our ambassadors since 2022! He was a rescue but has been doing so well with us in his new home.

Hank would rather be seen in person than through a photo! After about 6, 7 tries this is the best we could do! So we added an AI photo of a blue tongue skink for reference!
