✨ JUST ANNOUNCED ✨

1/9: Sparklmami () is a Texas-born, Chicago-based musician and visual artist. Her songwriting draws from her confessional subconscious, exploring themes of perception and identity over her band’s improvisational mix of experimental soul, Mexican bolero, and jazz funk. Her acclaimed debut record in this body – featuring beloved singles “running”, “no te vayas”, and “penso en voce” – invites listeners into a lush world of reverie, nostalgia, and possibility. It’s a sound that pulls from myriad places: the glimmering, verdant jazz made in 1970s Brazil, the open-hearted Mexican boleros she grew up listening to at home, the whimsy of Indian singer runa laila, and of course the improvisations and ideas of her bandmates.

💫 JUST ANNOUNCED 💫

11/13: Chicago trio Twin Talk ( - saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi, bassist-singer Katie Ernst, and drummer Andrew Green)’s new album title, Delights, is affably tongue-in-cheek, but it’s not wrong. While the title Delights plays on listeners’ expectations for a breezy set of delectable melodies, in actuality the group’s tricky interplay consistently challenges that presumption. But Delights is no misnomer as these 11 tracks never lose a sense of joy as they unfold into the prismatic, intuitive musical conversation that has marked this band’s sound for more than a decade.

💫 DOUBLE ALBUM RELEASE 💫

10/9: Mike Reed's Separatist Party + Resavoir

Isn't Chicago the best? You won't get this anywhere else. Jazz heads, look alive!!! Don't miss your chance to catch performances for these two highly anticipated albums. Tickets are already moving quickly, don't wait.

Sing the Color Blue reunites Mike Reed () with Rob Frye (), Cooper Crain, Dan Quinlivan (all of the trio Bitchin Bajas- ), Marvin Tate (), and Ben LaMar Gay ( 's ) in a set that moves between composition, reconstruction, improvisation, and song form.

Drawing inspiration from the atmospheric sound worlds of Jon Hassell and Flying Lotus as well as the heavy drums, smeared samples, and weightless textures of cloud rap, Above The Clouds captures the current incarnation of Resavoir (): a band using electronic instruments with the spontaneity and interplay of an improvising ensemble.
