Acompáñanos el Domingo 13 de Septiembre en la ceremonia cívica oficial de El Grito, encabezada por el Consulado General de México en Chicago.

🎟️ El registro es GRATUITO e incluye acceso al festival de 8:00 a 10:00 p. m. Si únicamente asistirás a la ceremonia, deberás registrarte para obtener tu entrada.

¿Qué representa El Grito?

El Grito de Dolores conmemora el histórico llamado a la Independencia de México realizado por Miguel Hidalgo en 1810. Hoy, esta poderosa tradición honra la lucha de México por su libertad y celebra el orgullo, la valentía y la unión del pueblo mexicano. 🇲🇽

Chicago is proud to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of our Mexican and Mexican American communities to this city’s culture, economy, and identity on Mexican Independence Day. From the 26th Street Parade to El Grito in Grant Park, Chicagoans will have the opportunity to celebrate together and celebrate safely.

My administration has been preparing alongside our City partners to ensure the resources are in place to keep our residents and visitors safe as they celebrate throughout the next week.
