PURPOSE OF THE CROSSOVER PLAYOFF FORMAT
The crossover playoff format is designed to reduce the likelihood of teams facing the same opponents they already played during pool play or seeding games. By crossing over Bracket A and Bracket B, teams compete against different opponents in the playoffs, creating a more competitive, balanced, and exciting championship round while giving teams an opportunity to face new competition.
This format helps avoid repeat matchups whenever possible and ensures a fair playoff experience for all participating teams.
