The CIFF will present the US Premiere of AMANDA at the Siskel Film Center during EXPO Chicago - City Events on Tuesday, April 7th at 6:00 PM.

The documentary tells the story of Amanda Cullen, a visual artist whose life was shaped by her experiences within the Irish institutional system – a perspective rarely shared publicly. After leaving that environment, she found her voice and now shares her own narrative.

Post screening Q&A with artist Amanda Cullen and director Jose Miguel Jimenez.

We were so lucky to have the director and lead actor of the incredible film, Life On Mercury, join us for the world premiere of their film! Fiona took a moment to speak with them before they went to the screening.

And that’s a wrap. 🍀🎥Thank you for streaming, cheering, and celebrating Irish film with us.Until next year, Chicago!

Congratulations again to our Festival Shorts Award winner, for the selection of his film ‘Sean Fear’!

We had a lovely chat discussing how his film came to be, and getting his reaction after receiving his award.
