📊 From Data to Decisions: Event Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us for From Data to Decisions: Inside the 2026 Marketing Pulse Report! 💚

We were excited to hear from Tammy VanDenBusch and Katie Bramschreiber from Element, who shared insights from marketing professionals across the Midwest and explored how organizations can make more informed marketing decisions.

Here are four key takeaways from the session:
🔹 Start with business outcomes. Set clear business goals before choosing marketing activities.
🔹 Look across the customer journey. Connect brand awareness, sales, and customer experience to support growth and customer retention.
🔹 Make technology serve the strategy. Use AI, automation, and marketing technology to support business objectives.
🔹 Create a shared view of performance. Align marketing, sales, technology, and data around common goals.

📈 One important reminder from the discussion: Use data to look forward, not just backward. Past performance helps us understand what happened, while data can also guide future decisions and reveal new opportunities.

Thank you to Element for sharing their expertise and sponsoring breakfast and drinks, and to Discover Green Bay for hosting us. We appreciate everyone who attended and contributed to the conversation!

MARKETING MINUTE ⏱️

Your marketing report is full of numbers. But are they telling you what you actually need to know?

Impressions, clicks and reach can tell you how people are interacting with your content. But to understand whether your marketing is working, you need to connect those numbers to your goals.

💡A quick tip: Before launching a campaign, identify what success looks like. Then choose metrics that help you measure it.

For example, if your goal is lead generation, don't stop at impressions. Look at conversions, qualified leads, and the actions people take after engaging with your content.

The goal isn't to track everything. It's to measure what matters.

Want to see how your priorities compare with other Midwest marketers? Join us for Marketing Pulse 2026: How Midwest Marketers Are Planning for the Year Ahead to explore industry benchmarks, emerging trends, and what's working for marketing teams.

Thank you to Bridget O'Connor of O'Connor Connective for taking us behind the scenes of the Greater Green Bay Chamber’s rebrand during our AMA Northeast Wisconsin session. 💻🤝

And the research revealed some important insights.
🔹Membership value needed to be clearer.
Some audiences didn’t even realize membership was available or understand its value.

🔹Communication needed to increase and evolve.
Research showed a clear preference for communication through email first, followed by LinkedIn and Facebook.

🔹Digital engagement matters.
The research pointed toward a stronger emphasis on digital content over print, with less copy and more infographics and video.

🔹The brand needed to be elevated and modernized.
The rebrand included a refreshed visual identity designed to better reflect the organization and its audiences.

🔹Membership is at the heart of the brand.
The Chamber’s brand architecture and messaging were developed with membership as a key part of the overall brand experience.

🔹Messaging starts with “You.”
Rather than focusing on the organization itself, the new approach places greater emphasis on the audience—their needs, goals, and the value they receive.

A research-driven brand starts with listening and turns audience insights into a clearer, more relevant, and more connected brand. 💚
