As we count down to Fair week, we plan to share a few Fun Fair Facts about alpacas so our Laramie County community can learn more about these beautiful, unique animals.

For example: Did you know alpacas have three stomach chambers and chew cud to help get the most nutrition from their food? Their fiber is also flame resistant, hypoallergenic, and lighter, warmer, and softer than sheep’s wool.

Pretty impressive, right?

Follow along for more Fun Fair Facts as we get closer to the 2026 Laramie County Fair, July 29-August 8.

Calling all local food trucks and food vendors!

The 2026 Laramie County Fair is looking for food vendors to help serve fairgoers during one of the county’s biggest summer traditions. The 2026 Laramie County Fair runs July 29-August 8, with food vendor opportunities available August 1-7 at select fair events and Midway locations.

Vendors can request the days and events that work best for them, including the Weekend Kickoff, Ranch Rodeo, Mutton Bustin’, Youth Rodeo, Pig Wrestling, and Full Fair Week Midway opportunities. Date selections are subject to approval and availability.

Happen to be new to the Laramie County Fair? New food vendors who choose two or more events may receive $50 off total fees.
