Where do I even begin with these THREE incredibly talented musicians?!

JOE TAINO — This man knows how to pluck, bend, and work those guitar strings in ways that leave you scratching your head wondering, HOW THE HELL DID HE MAKE THAT SOUND?! And once Joe pours his heart and soul into that guitar, something takes over. He gets lost in the music, the guitar starts talking, and all we can say is… KEEP IT COMING, JOE!!!

Now, although Joe was steering this musical ship, he made DAMN SURE STEVE KIRSTY had plenty of room to take that bass for a ride!

And OH MY… WHAT A RIDE IT WAS!!!

Steve was tap’n, slap’n, pluck’n, pick’n, and slid’n his way up and down that bass like the two were having some kind of downright DIRTY, SULTRY LOVE AFFAIR!

And let me tell ya… THE AUDIENCE WAS LOVE’N EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT! Eyes glued, bodies groovin’, smiles from ear to ear! Whatever conversation Steve was having with that bass, we were ALL eavesdropping… and NOBODY wanted it to end! 😂

And then there’s NICK FISHMAN ON DRUMS!

GOOD LORD!!! This man is something ELSE!

Nick is hands down one of the finest drummers I’ve had the pleasure of watching. He’s not just keeping time back there… HE’S MAKING THE MUSIC COME ALIVE! Every beat, every accent, every unexpected twist is delivered with incredible precision, passion, and FEEL.

What I love about Nick is that he’s ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC. He listens, he responds, he knows when to hold back and when to let loose. And when he does… WATCH OUT! He takes an already extraordinary trio and elevates the whole damn thing to another level!

ANOTHER KICK-ASS BLUES JAM AT MEADOW BLUES… AND A FIRST FOR OUR STAGE!

OH MAN, WHAT A JAM SESSION!!! Frank Johns took the reins as our host and brought together one HELLUVA lineup of talent! Frank laid down that rock-solid groove on bass, while Petey Hop was absolutely KICKIN’ ASS on guitar, serving up those gritty, soulful licks that make you shake your head and say, “DAMN, THAT’S GOOD!” Andrei Koribanics was holding it all together behind the drums, keeping that rhythm tight and driving, while Andy brought his own on sax.

AND THEN CAME A MEADOW BLUES FIRST!!!

A EUPHONIUM ON OUR STAGE! YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT… A EUPHONIUM!!!

Ada and Brad stepped up with their euphoniums and WHAT A TREAT! Now, we’ve had some pretty incredible instruments grace our little stage, but this was a FIRST! That rich, warm brass sound brought something completely unexpected to the jam, and WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all at Meadow Blues… somebody shows up with a EUPHONIUM!

BUT WAIT… THE NIGHT HAD ANOTHER SURPRISE UP ITS SLEEVE!

Vito Liuzzi decided to pull a little sneak attack on some friends, arranging for them to meet up at Meadow Blues without knowing what he had planned. And THANK GOODNESS HE DID!

DIANE… THAT VOICE!!! WOW, WOW, WOW! Sooooo soulful, heartfelt, silky smooth and dripping with emotion. The kind of voice that makes you stop mid-conversation, put your drink down and LISTEN! The audience couldn’t get enough, and neither could I!

VITO LIUZZI — A MASTER behind those drums! The man doesn’t just keep time, he FEELS every beat and brings the whole room along for the ride!

MIKE NUGENT on guitar and GENE TORRES on bass rounded out this incredible surprise gathering of musicians. What a pleasure to have all that talent sharing our stage!

WHAT AN AMAZING FALL DAY! AND WHAT A NIGHT OF MUSIC WE HAVE LINED UP!

THIS TRIO… WOW, WOW, WOW!!!

TONIGHT @ 7:00 — JOE TAINO TRIO!

If you’ve seen Joe Taino perform at Meadow Blues, you already KNOW what kind of night we’re in for! And if you haven’t… well, it’s about time we fixed that!

Joining Joe are two extraordinary musicians who bring some SERIOUS musical firepower to the stage!

STEVE KIRSTY — A multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire on bass, sax, and keys! Steve has performed throughout America, Spain, and Israel alongside numerous blues and jazz artists. He’s graced the Meadow Blues stage a few times, and we ALWAYS love having him back!

NICK FISHMAN — Now, Nick has quite the musical résumé! From being an in-demand jazz drummer in San Francisco to performing with Earl Thomas, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John “Blues” Boyd, Rusty Zinn, and Kid Andersen… this man knows his way around a drum kit!

And here’s a little something worth mentioning… Steve and Nick are the rhythm section for THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS! So you KNOW these guys can lay down one HELLUVA groove!

As for what Nick brings to this particular trio? NOPE! Not telling! You’ll have to come find out for yourself. I can’t give away ALL the good stuff!

NOW, LET’S TALK ABOUT OUR SOCIAL HOURS!

The music starts at 7:00, but the FUN starts at 5:30!

Alexis P. Suter doesn’t just sing a song — she reaches deep into your soul and makes you FEEL every single word. Her lyrics are heartfelt, powerful, and filled with meaning. There’s something incredibly uplifting about an artist who can move an entire room with just her voice.

And THE BAND… HOLY S**T

These musicians don’t just play alongside one another — they have musical conversations! The kind where one instrument speaks, another answers, and the rest of us just sit back, listen, and soak it all in. The chemistry, the musicianship, the passion… ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!
