StoneBridge School Drama StoneBridge School’s Drama program for theatre and film educational opportunities.

“Theatrics with a purpose.” (Matthew 18)

StoneBridge Drama is the theatre program at StoneBridge School, a private Christian school in Chesapeake, VA. The program offers performing arts training and opportunities to students, and encourages students to discover and explore the joy of sharing stories through the art forms of theatre and film. While theatre and performing opportunities arise for students in every grade at StoneBridge, StoneBridge Drama is an audition-based program specifically for students in grades 9-12, with occasional opportunities for younger grades, pending on the show. StoneBridge Drama produces at least two major productions every year: a film festival of student-produced films in January and a major musical in March. They also host an annual Princess Tea Party for young girls and their moms, and a series of summer camps.

StoneBridge School Drama is headed to Avonlea! Meet the cast and student directors of our Fall Show, “Anne of Green Gables!” We can’t wait to bring the classic story of Anne Shirley to life this fall, and for these talented young performers to learn and grow together as they bring the story to the stage.

Meet some of our dreamers and storytellers! These amazing students each completed their own original screenplays for film over the summer… Now they’re setting off into their adventure of creating their own student films this year!

Whether they are shooting their own films or helping to lead our class workshop film, we are so excited to see their stories come to life.

Be on the lookout for more student film updates! The Student Film Festival takes place in January 2027 and we can’t wait to see all of their creativity up on the big screen!

StoneBridge School Drama’s season auditions are already happening - Miss Cribb, Mrs. Wirtz, Mrs. Wooten, and our student director and stage manager team (pictured here) can wait to cheer you on!

If you’re a rising 6th-12th grade student at StoneBridge School and want to be involved in Drama in any way this year, be sure to check your email for more information and signups! Auditions wrap up during the first week of school and we’d love to see you there.

That’s a wrap on another student film shoot!

Mary Ruth finished shooting her original short film, “The Wishing Pebble,” with this awesome team of students today! The Student Film Festival this year is going to be awesome. How incredible is it that several students have even completed their film shoots before school even begins?!

Way to go to Mary Ruth, Kaci, Paige, Remy, and Michael for all their hard work today. We can’t wait to see the finished film!
