What a weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had difficult lane conditions on day one, more forgiving on day two. Ladies powered through. I thank you for that.

Final results attached.
Haley's Pro Shop ran away with it. Deb Lee, Kati Koopman, Melissa Tinker, Jen McIver and Jennifer Ferguson. They held the lead all day. They had a couple teams challenge them but they were unbeatable down the stretch.

Team BB LLC (Laura Oakland, Irene Muller, Mary Stratton Dahlke, Loree Ruby and Jamie Koster) was one of a couple teams that tried to challenge Haley's. They would make a run, get stalled and then make another. Their timing worked out as they started game 12 in 3rd place just one point out of second. They had a great game going 7-1 to move into second place with 56.5 points.

Inspect Her Gadget team of Amanda Aldridge, Jamie Davis, Coleen 5-7-10 Grinde, Lori Hanken-Edwards and Michelle Smith was the unfortunate team to match up three games on Sunday with Haley's Pro Shop. They would get close, get shut down and then make another run at them. As it turned out, they just couldn't overcome the challenge and at the end of the day dropped to 3rd place.

Making the biggest move of the day was the Proformance Bowling Services team (Lauren DeSordi, Wendy Burkhardt, Patti Hanken, Jamie Snead and Tona Thompson) They were hovering around 7th all weekend, Then game 11 and game 12, they went 7/1 and finishing up 4th place.

Sunday Singles went to Michelle Smith with a 1327. She bowled well all weekend.
Finishing tied for second in the over 190 division was Mikayla Jensen and Courtney Nikolas with 1283.

Sarah Spellman led the 189 and under division with 1165 followed by Carla Miller with 1114.

We gave a Brunswick Ball of Choice to the high score of the weekend by a non staff player. this went to Saturday singles winner Jennifer Delesalle with a final total of 2452. She has her choice of any current ball in the catalog of the Brands of Brunswick.

Our Ball raffle was a huge success. We were able to give away two balls from the Brunswick family. Congratulations to Kati Koopman and Brandi Bohm. both selected the Envy Tour from Hammer Bowling.

I want to send a special thank you to Gary Gruner GMC, Mary Stratton Dahlke, Brunswick Bowling, Michael Kelly, Environmental Controls Corp. and Inn at Cross Keys station for your support.

To the staff of Madras Bowl and the Bouvia family, thank you for allowing me to run this special tournament.

Good afternoon Ladies, We are just 3 days away from the first annual Gloria Bouvia Memorial Swiss.

I wanted to send one last post to clean up some questions I have received and one last invitation to the “welcoming” party/dinner.

Doors will open at 8:30am on Saturday

I will be accepting entry fees and bracket/singles entry starting at 8:30am

Practice starts at 10:00am Saturday and 9:00am Sunday.

Brackets and singles will be available for 189/under and 190/over. Singles will payout 1:6

I would like to take this time to thank our tournament sponsors. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to have a great prize fund, dinners, raffles and giveaways.

Gary Gruner Buick, Chevrolet and GMC in Madras, Oregon. Gary has been a big supporter of Bowling at Madras Bowl and we thank him very much for his continued support.

Mary Stratton-Dahlke (RE/MAX Key Properties) Mary has supported every tournament I have directed, and it is greatly appreciated.

Brunswick Bowling (Adam Ishman) Brunswick has been with me for years and we all benefit from their support. (We will be giving a Brunswick Ball of Choice to the highest 12 game scratch series that is not on Staff with a ball manufacturer. We will also be raffling off a Brunswick Ball of Choice from any of the seven brands.)

Mike Kelly, Mike is a long-time friend of Gloria and the Bouvia family. He graciously donated some of his hard-earned money to help make this event happen.

Environmental Controls Corp. ECC is my employer and they have supported all of my Tournaments form day one. Not only by providing money, but they also allow me time during the workday if needed to coordinate, printing/copying and office supplies.

Inn at Cross Keys Station (Josh Hatfield) They held 25 rooms and provided a very nice discount.

Last but not least, Madras Bowl (Mike and Christie Bouvia) Mike and Christie have put their heart and soul into hosting this event. The trophies, daily singles prize fund and “Welcome” dinner are provided by Madras Bowl. This is going to be a very nice way to start off a fantastic weekend of bowling. (ps. The trophies are very cool)

Good evening Gloria Bouvia Memorial Swiss bowlers.
We are les than 2 weeks away from our inaugural event.
We will be having a "Welcoming" social that includes BBQ Brisket, Pulled Pork, Mac & Cheese, Salad etc. This kicks off at 7pm at Madras Bowl. For those that wish to, we will have a few lanes available for practice. This is complimentary so feel free to take advantage and get your shoe soles set up. The patterns will not be out for this practice.
Below is the official Dress Code, Roster and patterns attached.
Collared or mock style bowling shirts, tee shirts are fine as long as they are tasteful. (No tank tops, halter tops etc.)
Jeans, slacks, dress shorts, cargo shorts, skirts, skorts or Capri pants (No cutoff jeans or basketball style shorts)
No Hats
We look forward to having you all at Madras bowl to compete and honor Gloria.

Good morning ladies, I didn't get the entry procedure info out last night as I was struggling getting the page published.
I have been struggling with a fair and equitable format for accepting entries.
I am anticipating the tournament will fill fast. therefor, I want it to be as transparent a I can make it.

At 8am Thursday December 1st, I will start accepting entries.
The format will be to comment on this post. This will provide a date and time stamp. The first 12 comments after 8am will be contacted by me to arrange payment. Payment must be made within 24 hours or I will start down the list starting at #13 till all deposits are secured.
Payment method will either be Paypal or Credit Card for the amount of $130.00.
