✨It’s Saturday Nite, we’ve got a full house, so we are opening up the garden bar for on-site guests and the public!

✨We will be serving Confluence Brewing Company brews on tap! We now have Oktoberfest and a Harvester Red Ale for this month! Of course we will have some mixed drinks, hot cocoas and sodas, so everyone can enjoy!

✨We will be selling some tshirts, goat soaps, and treat cups for the goats and llamas, too!

✨Sip and stroll the farm and visit with all the animals and enjoy a beautiful night in the rolling hills of the ‘Bohemie Alps!

✨We will also start up a bonfire if you want to bring your own s’mores or hot dogs!

‘The Peace of Wild Things’ by Wendell Berry, a poet, environmentalist and farmer, who died earlier this month, is a favorite poem here at Windy Goat. He has inspired, in part, this place here where everyone can find a little peace. 🐴🐐🦚🐸🐷🦋🪲🦆🦉🦃👩‍🌾🧍‍♀️🐈‍⬛🐇☮️

How are you spending Hobbit day this year?? Why not spend it in a hobbit hole in the middle of Iowa (Tama Co) in what's known as the Bohemie Alps!?

On September 22nd it's time to eat good food and a lot of it (don't forget elevenses) Bring out the lembas bread, seed cakes, and raise a tankard of tea, c***r, or ale and toast, " May the hair on your toes never fall out!"

Bring everything cozy... cardigans and cloaks, blankets, furry slippers or bare feet! Play some games, some music from the films, take a leisurely walk on the wooded trail and appreciating nature just as a true hobbit would.

🤩Yes, there is a chance you will walk outside of your yurt and see a horse grazing, or a llama peeks out from around a tree while on a walk, or a peacock, a pig,or a whole herd of goats, for that matter.

♥️We have always believed that free ranging animals (within safe boundaries) makes for happier and healthier animals, so we give most of our animals the opportunity to free range our whole 15 acres often and regularly. This way they get to express more of their natural behaviors, they get a more nutritious, varied diet, they are relatively stress free, and have plenty of stimulation.

🌿🦋How are we in September already??? Seems like all the kiddos were let out for summer break just a couple weeks ago!
