The annual Atlanta Design Festival is an open platform, ideal for fostering international dialogue on the economic and social impact of design. It provides connection, the free exchange of knowledge, design thinking and community building. Each year the Festival brings together independent designers, established brands, young talent, international speakers from academia, NGOs and government entities, exhibitions, installations and architecture tours – all centered on the economic and societal impact of design. We define this activity as ‘the design economy’ – the direct and indirect value created by those who use design in a wide variety of industries.

We need docents for tour weekend. October 3-4.

Every home on the Atlanta Design Festival tour needs someone there to greet visitors, answer questions, and help keep the day running. That's you.

No architecture background required. Just a few hours of your time and an interest in the homes on the tour.

What you get: free tour access, a look inside every property on the route, and a good excuse to spend a weekend around design people who care about the same things you do.

Shifts available both days. Sign up at the link in bio.

MA! Architecture Tours are back. October 3-4, 2026.

This year we've combined the Serenbe tour with the Atlanta metro tour, one route, two days, more homes than ever.

Every property on this year's tour was chosen for the same reason: material choice, spatial thinking, sustainability, and interiors built to hold up under real use. Architects and homeowners will be at many of the stops, so you're hearing the thinking behind the work, not just looking at a finished space.

10am-4pm both days. Serenbe is about 40 minutes southwest of Atlanta, a full route map is coming so you can plan your day.

Tickets are live now:
Single ticket: $60
Friend of ADF: $45 (sign up at checkout)
Group of 4: $180
Student/low income: $40
Serenbe only: $25

Hip-hop architecture is a real design movement. This guy wrote the book on it.

Meet Sekou Cooke. Architect, urban designer, and the mind behind Hip-Hop Architecture, a design movement rooted in the culture that shaped a generation.

His new book, Black Architect, looks at how cities pursuing real change confront decades of harm and neglect.

He's kicking off Creative Futures Conference with the keynote. Signed copies of the book on site.

One hour with him. Don't skip it.
