Tomorrow evening at the GAC, we are thrilled and honored to have Critically acclaimed pianist TAKA KIGAWA back again this season.  Kigawa has earned outstanding international recognition as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber music artist since winning First Prize in the prestigious 1990 Japan Music Foundation Piano Competition in Tokyo.  You can read more about him on our website!! 🔗in bio!

It’s free concert season here at the Garage!Join us for our opening weekend on June 10th at 5pm honoring the Zoellner Quartet (1903-1925) with the world premiere concert of the GAC Quartet.

Works by Mozart, Alberta, Shank and Dvořák will be performed by Eric Gratz (Violin), James Thompson (Violin), Anthony Bracewell (Viola) and Julian Muller (Cello).

Guest speaker, the Hon. Alexandra Foley, the London-based great granddaughter of Joseph Zoellner, tells their story and her quest to ‘resurface’ this famous family ensemble, followed by a tribute concert performed by The GAC Quartet (premier performance).

Join us for a unique weekend for Garage at Chatham featuring a double-bill dance concert to close our 2022 season. The first section of the program is inspired by John Cage, Merce Cunningham and Robert Rauschenberg. The music will be created and performed by The NewBorn Trio (Katie Down, Miguel Frasconi, and Jeffrey Lependorf) with choreography by Jonah Bokaer, costuming and set design by Baju Wijono. The second section will be in collaboration with Elena Mosley and Operation Unite, featuring live percussion musicians and members of the youth ensemble. You won’t want to miss it!

Using intriguing characters and sparkling dialogue, Shaw explored ideas and issues that transformed the conventions of British theater. “Don Juan in Hell” showcases the master’s art at its best.
