What are your plans this Memorial Day Weekend?

Step into the Viking Age for a weekend at Folksmoot: Viking Raid Weekend in Charlton, MA.

Our goal is to grow Folksmoot into a recurring yearly Viking gathering where people can escape reality, build community, and help bring a living Norse village to life. Each year will feature a different storyline and historical inspiration, with 2026 centered around the legendary raid on Lindisfarne.

Throughout the weekend, guests can experience shield wall training, battle games, crafting workshops, storytelling, feasting, wrestling, live combat, and an immersive raid experience inspired by Viking history and mythology.

Whether you come for the combat, the crafts, the atmosphere, or the community, Folksmoot is built to be more than a spectator event, it’s a world you become part of.

It was a beautiful year for our Faire at Ye Olde Commons. Everyone came together to fill the weekends with laughter, music and magic. We would love to host our faire for years to come. To do so, the property will need to be purchased. Please consider helping secure this enchanted property and ensuring it remains a place for LARPers, reenactors, dreamers and nature lovers. Then and Now:
Autumn Knights Faire was not the first Renaissance Faire to call Ye Olde Commons its' home. Silver Kingdom faire ran from 2008 to, from what I can find, 2017.
The website is still up and I think you might recognize some of the faces:

Fridays blustery night took down the majority of our tents & left us a soppy wet field.
We the volunteers, performers and vendors of the Autumn Knights Renaissance Faire chose to greet November 1st and the wreckage with laughter, determination and challenging the wind by yelling at the sky.
It all paid off today as we opened our gates on time & shared this beautiful day with the people of Charlton.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people who believed in us delivering a magical Autumn day and came out to support our faire.
We will see you in the afternoon on November 2nd for closing day!
