Charlottesville Holiday Bazaar

08/23/2026

While we enjoy this beautiful summer day, some of us are already thinking of holiday markets and winter festivities… the Holiday Bazaar vendor application will be available soon and if you are an artist or craftsperson around the Charlottesville area we hope you will consider joining us!

We will also have availability for one additional food vendor as well as limited free space for our non-profit neighbors to come share their projects and activities.

And of course we welcome sponsorship support of this wonderful event with many opportunities for sponsors to take an active part in the event or simply demonstrate support through advertising or promotional displays.

Keep an eye out here for information and the applications coming soon!

Our Fall issue of the Seasonal Journal was sent to our mailing list a few weeks ago, but with all the Charlottesville Holiday Bazaar excitement it has not yet been shared here - until now! This issue includes a spotlight on a current family, an update from one of our alumni, two articles about how art is approached in Waldorf education, and CWS news and events.

Visit cwaldorf.org/our-school/seasonal-journal to read this issue, and browse the archive of Seasonal Journals from seasons past.

If you would like to receive the Seasonal Journal in your inbox, join our email list on our website.

Mushroom Lights will be joining us from Mebane, North Carolina this year with gorgeous handturned lamps. A unique, one of a kind MushroomLight is crafted from repurposed local trees such as black walnut, maple, apple. The artist harvests all of his wood and dries it for several months, sometimes years. The light is Woodturned and handgouge with the intention to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. Wood chips, a byproduct of the creation process, are being used sustainably for gardening, and sometimes for literally growing mushrooms. All lamps are strung with high quality LED lights.
