Verbs and Vibes Verbs and Vibes open mic occurs every 1st and 3rd Thursday at The Bridge (209 Monticello Road) from 7pm until 10pm. Cost is only $5. Come and be part of the mix!

Verbs and Vibes is a platform for artists of all kinds to be heard. Its aim is to inspire people, build community and allow space for creativity to soar. The shows not only highlight local artists but periodically brings in special guests who perform regionally and nationally. We pride ourselves on being a place where audiences can hear a mix of hip-hop, spoken word, country, acoustic music, R&B a

nd more! We've had artists from the age of 8 to 80 perform on our stage. Bring your poem, song, rap or just listening ears. LIMITED SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GET ON THE MIC AND SHARE, SO ARRIVE EARLY! Doors open and the artist sign up list is available at 6:45pm. First artist is up at 7:30pm. 8 producers compete in a gauntlet match for a cash prize and the chance to battle in a three-way dance against XLondabeat and current heat makers champion Vintage at the next installment of War Games next May. The first of three rounds pits Mike Lanx vs 808spinz, Doughman vs Roxx, Itsthewave vs noxid, and Phd Khari vs CEO. The main event is a freestyle light heavyweight championship between Sneeze and Ayo Ave. Music by DJ SG and DJ Double U with guest spots by Brassknuckles champion Shamika Shard'e and tagteam champs Gryscl. Hosted by Remy St. Clair. Proceeds benefit Nine Pillars Hiphop Cultural Fest, a nonprofit organization focused on providing a platform for urban arts and artists.
