Our 2025 Team Song. Cancer is a family disease. When someone has cancer, nobody's life will ever be the same. To me, the lyrics of 'Rise Up' can be from the perspective of the person with cancer and the person taking care of that person. You see, as a caregiver, you must 'Rise Up' everyday, not knowing what the day will bring, trying to meet every pain, every tear, every uncertainty, every fear-multiplied for every family member. As a cancer patient, from what I experienced, you 'Rise Up' because of the people you love, probably even more than saving your own life. You face drugs, procedures, sadness, loss of your daily life, financial worries, pain, sickness and fear so deep it's hard to even try to understand. But, my husband Gary went through it all until he couldn't because of his love for others. I am sure of it. This song is the perfect team song to inspire us to 'Rise Up' and raise as much money as possible so those days fighting cancer are short and as painless as possible.

What will your last photo be? This was Gary's. He was at a home inspection and shortly after this photo was on the client's deck where he had the Grand Mal Seizure that changed the course of his life. So for Glioblastoma Awareness Day I am going to make you aware of this: Your life can change in a second. L-O-V-E (verb) your life. L-O-V-E your people. You have no idea when that 'second' will be your 'second'.

Less than 48 hours to go before the Race for Hope, DC is underway, and Gary's Glioblasters has raised another $1,438.05 to the over $27,000 raised in prior years! This is INCREDIBLE!
