We all saw the headlines this week: Ford’s CEO can’t fill 5,000 mechanic jobs—even ones paying up to $120,000 a year.
Not because young people don’t care… but because fewer and fewer are being introduced to the automotive world early enough to spark that interest.
For those of us who’ve lived our whole lives around old cars, shows, swap meets, and the friendships that come with them, this hits home. If we don’t help the next generation find a place in this hobby and this industry, the future of it all becomes uncertain.
And that’s one reason the Hornets Nest Foundation exists.
Every dollar we raise on shirts goes straight into programs that open the door for young people—whether that’s through hands-on opportunities, scholarships, youth judging, or giving them access to the knowledge and community we’ve all benefitted from.
So, here’s a simple way you can help:
