**FROM THE CEO'S DESK**

IT'S 2026! WHY ARE WE STILL EXPECTING DJs TO ACCEPT 1998 PRICES?

Let me ask a serious question.

Almost everything around us has increased in price over the years. Hair appointments, catering, photography, venues, transportation, equipment, and the list goes on.

But when it comes to hiring a professional DJ, why are some people still expecting prices from 20 or 30 years ago?

A DJ isn't just showing up with a laptop and pressing play.

You're paying for EXPERIENCE, EQUIPMENT, PREPARATION, TALENT, and the ability to create an atmosphere that people will remember.

Professional DJs have expenses just like every other business owner.

Now, I understand everyone has a budget. There's nothing wrong with that. But having a budget and expecting someone to undervalue their work are two different things.

My question is this: Why do we recognize the rising costs of other professional services but sometimes hesitate to recognize the value of a DJ?

DJs, event planners, and clients — I want to hear from you!

Let's have a real conversation. 👇
