Offering for sale, as a team or separate, Billy and Ranger, who are the wheel team in all photos. They have both performed at the National Finals Rodeo 3 times! They have traveled the United States as part of a six up, performing in hundreds of Wild West Shows, parades and rodeos. The pictures speak for themselves at how well trained and solid these boys are. Very athletic and full of try! Anyone can drive these guys. Both horses will drive single and are broke to ride. Both stand for the farrier, load, clip, bathe. Billy (right wheel) is a 10 year old Percheron/Morgan cross. He is 16 hands and stays black all year. He has been trail ridden quite a bit and will go anywhere you point him. Ranger (left wheel) is a Morgan/Friesian cross. He is 9 years old and loves his job! Lots of action, with an insanely thick tail that drags the ground. Has been trail ridden by a novice 12 year old girl. He really turns heads in harness or under saddle. Ride and drive champion 2014! Here's how it went. This horse is the wheel horse of the 6 horse hitch. He was driven single for the first time the day before this show. The class consisted of going into the arena while driving the horse. When the judge signaled, the drivers rushed to the center of the arena. The first person to go from a harness horse to saddle and ride out was the winner. Todd lost a little time and needed to make it up to win. How did he make it up? The crowd hooted and hollered when he left the harness on and saddled up! Both horse and rider exited the arena together, pretty proud of themselves!

TBT...around 1999 at the Port Hornon Blue Water Festival Parade when I drove for Johnsons. I guess that was before they changed the law requiring stagecoach drivers to have a rockin' 'stache! :)
