This morning’s news and social media filled us with sadness as we saw friends, families, and neighbors being deported. It reminded us of the difficult choice we had to make: to cancel this year’s festival. Over the past month, the reality in our city — and across the country — has only become heavier for our community.
🙏 This is not about politics. It’s about people — protecting, caring for, and standing with our community. A festival filled with incredible music, amazing vendors, and talented performers only has meaning when we can all gather without fear, safely and freely.
❤ Though it hurts, we know this was the right decision. And we promise you: next year, we’ll return stronger than ever — united, resilient, and ready to celebrate together as one community.
