The West Virginia Book Festival will feature an exciting lineup of headlining authors for 2026.

This year's lineup includes award-winning children’s writer R. L. Stine, nonfiction author Margot Lee Shetterley, New York Times bestselling historical novelist Kate Quinn, mystery author and West Virginia native Craig Johnson, and local author and illustrator Rosalie Haizlett.

They will all be here on October 24th at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center! See you then!

Thanks to everyone who made the 2025 West Virginia Book Festival such a great success! Nearly 4,000 people visited this year's festival, enjoying literary presentations, nationally known best-selling authors, and a marketplace filled with books! We'll see you next year for the 2026 Book Festival on October 24th - once again at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center!

Calling all readers, writers, and families! The West Virginia Book Festival is back, Saturday, October 25, 2025 | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center with free admission. Enjoy a full day celebrating stories, imagination, and the joy of reading for all ages.

Come enjoy programs with local and international bestselling authors, a massive Used Book Sale and Festival Marketplace and Word Play! – a fun, interactive area for kids and caregivers featuring hands-on activities and performances all day.

Due to a family emergency, Neal Shusterman is unable to attend the 2025 WV Book Festival in person on Saturday, October 25th, but will hold a virtual presentation at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. The audience will be able to ask questions, receive signed book plates through the mail, and have a chance to win a personalised Neal Shusterman novel. See you at 11 am on October 25th!
