Attention Charles City natives and residents! The Arts Center (our sponsoring organization) is hosting their annual membership drive.

Art-a-Fest can only function with support of the Charles City Arts Center. We are an affiliate, and rely on their registered Non-Profit status every year. The Arts Council and staff all volunteer their time each year during Art-a-Fest, too- another example of how our annual event would not be possible without their support.

If you have the means and are able, please consider supporting the CHARLES CITY ARTS CENTER. The majority of funding comes from community support and memberships. There are many ways to support their mission, and every single dollar truly helps (them and US!!).

Please consider taking our brief survey. Results will be confidential, and honest feedback will help us plan next year's event. It only takes a couple of minutes!

We take this feedback seriously. Some things are out of our control, but attainable suggestions that are in alignment with our mission/goals are carefully considered. A few things we've implemented the past few years:

- Added more free kids' activities and spaced them out around Central Park
- Dedicated 9-10am as "Artists' Hour"
- Made all Art-a-Fest Bucks $25 denomination, so that big winners ($50, $100) are able to buy from multiple artists
- Posted a large map and schedule in the middle of Central Park
- Provided a sign for artists to post, indicating booth number and name
- Added porta-potties around Central Park

The logo design contest votes have been counted, and we have a winner... Congratulations Susan Hobart-Elerick!

​Susan's design will be the new 2026 Art-a-Fest logo, and will be featured on our website, social media, print media, T-shirts, & more.

THANK YOU to everyone who participated and submitted a design - there were a LOT of votes cast, and it was a close contest. Also, thanks to everyone who stopped by the information booth to vote. We hope to see you all again next year!

We'd like to congratulate Heather Smith as the winner of the 2025 Emerging Artists Program! 🎉

Thanks to Darrell Taylor, our 2025 event Judge, for performing the evaluation. All participating artists scored good marks!

Thanks to all four incredibly talented and amazing artists who participated in this program. We hope the experience was worthwhile and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet and work with each of you this year, and we hope to see you back again!

Congratulations to all the artists who placed during Art-a-Fest 2025!

This year's judge, Darrell Taylor, evaluated all 46 artists in Central Park and awarded a total of 10 prizes.

Thanks Darrell, for joining us in the blistering heat to play an integral role in our 2025 event!

A successful 2025 Art-a-Fest is officially in the books! It was a warm one for sure 🥵, but despite the heat it was still a great event. We couldn't have pulled it off without our incredible sponsors, team, and volunteers- thank you!

Stay tuned, we'll announce this year's prize winning artists and logo contest winner tomorrow!

In the meantime, we're looking for photos of the event to share on our website! If you have any, and you are willing to share, please send them to us via messenger or email - [email protected] - we'll add them to the 2025 gallery!
