🎆 4th of July Fundraiser: Real Talk 🎆

Putting on a 4th of July celebration isn’t just fireworks and fun — it takes a LOT of behind-the-scenes work and real dollars to make it happen.

For our Pizza, Puzzle & Pilsner fundraiser:
💸 Cost to put on the event: $1,022.10
💰 Amount raised: $2,150
Total Fundraiser Profit: $1,127.90

We’re proud of what was raised — and also want to be honest that every fundraiser helps, but it doesn’t cover everything needed to keep this celebration going year after year.

Who will come out on top this year!?

Big thanks to the Chariton HyVee Store & Hurribak III Bar for helping make this event possible! The Hurribak helped provided the beer & an awesome prize for the 1st place team. Chariton HyVee Store donated all the pizzas!

🎆 Chariton 4th of July: Real Talk Edition 🎆

We’re making Chariton’s 4th of July Celebration happen this year 🇺🇸—because America’s 250th birthday deserves a proper party.

But here’s the honest part: these celebrations don’t magically happen. They take people. Volunteers. Helpers. Folks willing to give a little time so our whole community can enjoy the day.

If we want this tradition to continue after 2026, we’re going to need more community support and involvement to keep it going.

So if you love fireworks, parades, small-town pride, and saying “I remember when Chariton did this every year”… now’s the time to raise your hand. 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

🇺🇸✨ Big news for 2026! ✨🇺🇸
Chariton Area Chamber/Main Street is excited to announce we’re partnering with the Chariton 4th of July Celebration to bring even more resources, promotion, and community fun to the 2026 Independence Day Celebration! 🎆🎇

The 4th of July Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM at the CACMS Office and new volunteers are always welcome to join in the planning! 🎉
