A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in and supported Chapman Labor Day this year!

The temperatures were HOT, but that didn’t stop our amazing participants, volunteers, vendors, organizations, businesses, and community members from coming out and making the celebration a success.

We truly appreciate everyone who braved the heat, gave their time, and helped keep this wonderful Chapman tradition going. It takes a whole community to make Labor Day special, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you! 🇺🇸

Well last night’s fireworks was a success. A couple hiccups with some equipment, but not to bad for a group of city employees.

On to tonight. The street dance. It’s going to be another hot day so please hydrate. Especially if you are going to partake in the beer garden. We want you all to have fun. That being said, Chapman FD will have firefighters ready if a heat emergency happens.

Remember in your travels, Marshall ave. will be closed this afternoon staring at around 3:00pm from 4th street to 6th street. Let’s enjoy the dance, listen to some great music and have a lot of fun! Be sure to come by our booth tomorrow and say hi. We will see you all tonight! Stay safe

☀️📢 Labor Day Weather Update 📢☀️

Due to the extreme heat, we want everyone to take extra precautions during our Labor Day festivities.

The Lions Club Labor Day Parade will remain as scheduled at 2:00 PM.

PLEASE be especially cautious with anyone walking in the parade and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Each participating entity may decide the best and safest method of participation for their group given the weather conditions.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and look forward to a safe and enjoyable Labor Day celebration!

We’re excited to be back at the Downtown Farmers Market of Manhattan this Saturday from 8–1! 🏈 It’s GAMEDAY, so come out, shop local, and get ready for football season!

Then we’re back at it Monday for Chapman Labor Day in Chapman from 8–3! 🤎
