As a student chapter of ACI, we hold monthly meetings on the latest concrete research and industry practice, attend the ACI convention held each semester, tour concrete plants and offices, and network with people at all levels in industry and academia. A huge thank you to Michelle Ryland from Klein & Hoffman and Kristen Fuentes from Pepper Construction for sharing their expertise on the renovation of the iconic John G. Shedd Aquarium rotunda exhibit. From structural challenges to virtual construction coordination, the session gave us valuable insight into working on historic structures with modern design demands.
