Friday night, Chackbay Volunteer Fire Department held a Firefighter's Banquet at The Foundry to honor their members who selflessly keep this community safe throughout the year.
During the banquet, Gumbo Festival representatives proudly presented a check to the Chackbay Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $194,935.00, representing the proceeds from the 2025 Louisiana Gumbo Festival of Chackbay.
In its 57-year history, the 2025 festival set a new record, surpassing all previous years with the highest profit to date. This incredible achievement is a direct reflection of the unwavering support of our community, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who attended. Every dollar raised through the Gumbo Festival directly benefits CVFD, helping them continue their vital mission of service and protection.
