Help Us Plan the 2027 Linn County Fair! 🎡

The Linn County Fair Association will be meeting this Sunday to kick off planning for the 2027 Linn County Fair, and we want to hear from YOU! What events, attractions, entertainment, or improvements would you like to see at the fair next year?

Have an idea you think would bring people through the gates? A new attraction we should consider? Something on the grounds that could use an upgrade? Drop your ideas in the comments! 👇

We’ll consider all suggestions — although we’ll warn you now, a Taylor Swift-sized concert budget probably isn’t hiding in the couch cushions. 😂 We’re looking for realistic, creative ideas that can make the Linn County Fair even better for our community.

Let’s hear what you’d like to see in 2027!

Queen Allison capped off an incredible week at the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition, and what a week it was! 👑💙

She represented Linn County with so much grace, confidence and beauty, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! 🫶🏼

Allison shared that this was such a fun week filled with amazing experiences, new adventures and, most importantly, meeting and getting to know people from all around Iowa and beyond. The connections and friendships made throughout the week are truly something special. 💙

From workshops and stage appearances to sharing laughs, making memories, volunteering and even helping create a quilt with fellow queens, Allison embraced every part of the experience.

She is excited to keep in touch with the new friends she made and looks forward to representing the Linn County Fair throughout the year ahead!

Congratulations, Allison! You have made Linn County proud! 👑💙

We’ve loved watching you shine this week! ✨

👑 Day 3 of the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition! 👑

Mother Nature was at it again today, impacting some of the activities for the queens, but that didn’t stop Queen Allison from making the most of the day!

The morning started with group interviews. Then attended a few workshops before the queens gathered for their group photo in their beautiful formal dresses. 👗✨

Tonight was our second evening on the fairgrounds, complete with stage introductions and more opportunities to meet people from across Iowa. We were especially excited to have Allison & her family join Linn County Fair Association members Albert Martin, Jennifer Dunn and Jean Dunn for dinner during the annual county fair day celebration ! ❤️💙

It’s hard to believe the final day of competition is tomorrow! The new Iowa State Fair Queen will be crowned tomorrow night at 7:00 PM on the Bill Riley Stage.

Come cheer on our Linn County Fair Queen, Allison! 👑🍀 We are so proud of you, Allison, and can’t wait to see how tomorrow unfolds!

👑 News from Des Moines from Queen Allison! 👑

It was a full day at the Iowa State Fair as our Linn County Fair Queen, Allison Arnold, continued her journey in the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition!

Here’s Allison’s recap of her day:

“To start off the morning, Mother Nature was not on our side. Our scheduled 1K walk and volunteering at Little Hands on the Farm was cancelled. Later this morning, I attended “The World Needs Your Sparkle!” workshop with Terri followed by our first stage appearance! After that, we had some free time where I got to talk to a lot of different people from Linn County.”

We love seeing Allison embrace every opportunity, representing Linn County and make connections along the way! ❤️👑

Keep shining, Allison — Linn County is cheering you on! 🌟

Some traditions are just too much fun to miss!

A group of The Linn County Fair Board members, Association members, and friends made our annual trip east to lend a hand at the Great Jones County Fair, serving in the North Side Track b**r tent. It’s become one of our favorite traditions—a fun night filled with laughs, memories, and plenty of teamwork.

We are fortunate to have such great relationships with our fellow fair friends across Iowa. Supporting one another is what makes fair season so special.

Thank you to our JoCo family for having us once again. We wish you all the best as you wrap up another great fair week!

Fair friends make the best memories. ❤️🎡
