We just spent money having the kitchen walls refinished, so there was no way I was covering them up with wallpaper, but hand me a stencil and a few hours (okay, days) and apparently I’ll just make it look wallpapered instead.

I seriously considered stenciling the door that hides the electrical box too, but I finally hit my limit (or wall). Pretty safe to say this’ll be my last stencil project for a while.

Even though I still plan to keep the walls mostly white and decorate over time, this little wall needed something extra — read: color — since it’s the only wall in the kitchen without a door, window, or cabinets breaking it up.

And yes… we’re still working on the base trim. 😅

A comforting reminder that most DIY projects don’t happen overnight and that’s okay.

As we wrap up our week of Christmas Tree Farm field trips, we just want to say THANK YOU to K**b Noster, Warrensburg, and the nearly 250 kiddos who visited the farm this week.

Parents… you may see that hot cocoa packet come home and think, “What in the world?!” But surprise, it’s actually for a fun blended frozen treat your kids can make at home to enjoy a little taste of Christmas anytime. We’ll even let you take the credit.

Frozen Hot Cocoa Recipe:
• 1 cup milk
• 1 packet hot cocoa mix
• 1–1½ cups ice
• Optional: whipped cream + chocolate

And if your kids are STILL talking nonstop about the zipline… good news — you can rent the barn, zipline included. Add the bounce house and consider the birthday party officially handled. 😉

We’re not gatekeeping—even if it might hurt our chances of winning one of these incredible baskets. I’ve always loved a good auction, but one that supports a local nonprofit making a meaningful impact right here in Warrensburg makes it even better.

If you’re looking for something to do this Saturday that gets you out of the wind and into a warm, welcoming space, this is a perfect option.

Still photos might be “a thing of the past,” but you’ll have to pry these before-and-afters out of my hands. I’ll always be a before-and-after girl.

We’re about halfway through our kitchen reno, so while we wait on that, I figured I’d share another space we’ve updated, the boys’ room. I feel like we hit the jackpot once we pulled up the carpet and found those beautiful floors underneath.

Their only requests? Something sports related, a rug(because they aren’t as big of fans of hardwood as I am), and a color on the wall.

From cribs… to big boy beds… and on to whatever’s next.
