It's official! The second annual Cedar Rapids Storytelling Festival will happen September 21-26, 2026. Watch this page for announcements about the nationally known and local storytellers who will be taking part. It is shaping up to be an amazing event!!

NEWS FLASH!!
IPR will broadcast its production of the Grand Storyteller Showcase on Monday, November 17, at 10:00 am on its FM stations and again at 7:00 pm on its AM stations. After that, the program will be a podcast. This production is one hour long, so it won't include all the stories. However, if you missed the show on October 4, here's your chance to hear what you missed.

Kory May and I were on Iowa Public Radio yesterday morning discussing the Cedar Rapids Storytelling Festival, which began yesterday with "Stories from the Stump." More today with Telling Stories through Art at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.
