We are excited to announce that Larry Hama, the Godfather of GI JOE, will be a special guest at Cedar Rapids Comic and Toy Show! He is the longest-running writer of Wolverine and GI JOE! He's also the Creator of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow and you can meet him at Cedar Rapids Comic and Toy Show Feb 10.

Larry Hama is a writer/cartoonist/illustrator/actor/musician who has worked in comics, tv and film.
The GI JOE phenomenon of the 80's had many factors that helped it's popularity. The GI Joe comic book was an essential part of that popularity-and the "heart" of that comic was Larry Hama!
He is also known as the writer of Marvel’s “Wolverine” in the ‘nineties. More recently he has scripted “Spooks,” and “Barack the Barbarian” for Devil’s Due Comics, “GI Origins” and “GI Joe A Real American Hero” for IDW as well as various animation and video game projects. If you go to the Marvel database , his credits are massive!

Larry Hama has written, edited or drawn for Avengers, Blaze, Nth Man, The Nam, Conan, Batman, Iron Fist, Wonder Woman, Bizarre Adventures, X-Men, Spider-Man, Daredevil, and dozens more.
He is also the author of the novel "Death of Captain America".
In addition, Bucky O'Hare was co-created by Larry Hama!

His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in National Lampoon, Esquire, and Rolling Stone. He has appeared on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim’s “Pacific Overtures” and on TV in MASH and Saturday Night Live.

Larry Hama was Artist in Residence at Asian/Pacific/American Arts Institute at NYU in 2012.
