Cassoday Bike Run Cassoday Bike Run was the largest single day, reoccurring, motorcycle event in the Midwest. It was located in Cassoday Ks along the Ks Turnpike and Hiway 177

Starting in 1991 is ran for 33 years until closing down in the fall of 2024. The Cassoday Bike Run a PRIVATE, ride to, breakfast motorcycle event. It is held in the town of Cassoday Kansas. The First Sunday of each month, March through October, uxcept for bad weather. Vendors are setup by 8am and generally wrapping up around 12:20-1pm.

Our board met, and discussed our future and various options.

It was decided that we WILL be organizing another event. But instead of just a breakfast / lunch run, this will be an all-day event. Location is being researched now, and planning will start once we lock in that location.

This event will be in the SUMMER OF 2026 and hopefully every year afterwards. Because of the new concept with a new location, we do not have enough time to get this new event ready for this summer.

Our Board is meeting on Tuesday, March 4. We will be discussing what is next for the Cassoday Bike Run crew and a possible future event. One idea that has been discussed is a single, all day, event that might travel around to different local towns, once or twice a year during the summer. We have already been contacted by EVERY town, so no need to message and suggest other possible towns....we already know!

One thing we do know is that there will be NOTHING at Cassoday this year or in the forseeable future. Please keep in mind that if you do ride to Cassoday, plan ahead. There is no fuel, trash cans, food, restrooms or a place to sit and rest. Without a organized event, the town itself will likely not be very receptive to a large number of bikes showing up on a Sunday morning...just sayin. There are some events that have popped up to capitalize on the Cassoday Bike Run's closure to fill the first Sunday of the month, so if that works for you great.

We should have something posted soon on future plans. Planning takes a lot of time and we all work day jobs! Thanks

A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Our management board voted to officially shut down the Cassoday Bike Run.

For several years we’ve had a tough time attracting and retaining vendors. We also had to factor in our current expenses and with the new mandates from the City of Cassoday (causing us $300 or more in additional monthly expenses) … this was our only choice.

There is nothing for the motorcycle crowd at Cassoday now. The town currently has no fuel, no public restrooms, no convenient store and no restaurant.

We are discussing options for a brand-new event, possibly this summer. Almost every town within 60 miles of Cassoday has reached out and asked us to set up in their town. We have options!

To our volunteers, the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), the vendors, the downtown landowners and most importantly to the Bikers…. A GIANT THANK YOU for your support over the last 33 years!

Friends, after 33 years, the Cassoday Bike Run is faced with a difficult decision.

For the last several years, vendors have been very hard to get and retain. We even removed our event fee, and it didn’t help. Add to that, the City of Cassoday has now enacted several mandates / ordinances for all events that will create an impossible financial strain to overcome.

If it is deemed that the Cassoday Bike Run cannot continue, we are considering the creation of a totally new event. New name, new town, a full day of activities / vendors and added attractions. Gas / lodging would be available as well.

Please comment below on our survey.

Also, please do not bash the City of Cassoday, just comment #1 or #2 as your preference. We will leave this up for a few weeks before shutting down comments. A final decision will be made at a later date.

ALERT: Due to a mandate issued to us from the City of Cassoday, we are not allowed to put up the road barriers blocking the streets from regular vehicles and protect the bikers and pedestrians. They are concerned with emergency vehicle access. Please DO NOT park in the center of the streets to allow room. . Pass the word for tomorrow's Bike Run and please keep an eye out for the inevitable driver that is likely to drive a truck or car down the street, just because they can. Watch out for yourselves and others during the morning run. Sorry for the late night notice. We forgot to post this earlier today. See you all tomorrow.

At September's Bike Run we sold the last of the gun raffle tickets and drew for a winner. Aaron K. from Bel Plaine was our winner and just completed his background check and the gun transfer. Thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket to help the Bike Run with our monthly expenses. See you all on Oct 6th for the final Bike Run this season.

August is SCHOOL SUPPLY DONATION month! Please consider stopping by the store and grabbing any type of school supplies for the August 4th Bike Run. Drop them by the information tent and the supplies will be donated to the local Grade School. We havce been collecting school supplies every August for years and years and the bikers always come through! See you then!
